This recipe is one that I threw together to take to a new mom and was so pleased with how it turned out that I wanted to share it. There is a recipe in Utah called Zupas. They serve delicious soups and my favorite is called Nuts About Berries. It has cinnamon candied almonds, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries mixed together with a poppyseed dressing. I used a strawberry poppyseed dressing from Our Best Bites that turned out fairly well and paired nicely with the sweetness of the berries.
To begin, place lettuce of your choice in a bowl. I went with romaine. Next, wash your berries and cut them up if necessary. I chose strawberries, blackberries, and craisins.
I made some cinnamon candied almonds to put on top, which in my opinion made the salad go from good to amazing. Sprinkle those on top.
Pour on a small amount of dressing and toss salad until it has an amount of dressing that seems right to your taste. Enjoy!
