This week, as we’re talking about what to do with Thanksgiving leftovers, I couldn’t help but remember one of my favorite recipes that would help you to use up any leftover French’s Onions that you didn’t use on your green bean casserole. I tried this recipe on a whim when I saw it on the back of the can and it has since become an easy family favorite.
French’s Crunchy Onion Chicken:
2 cups French’s Fried Onions
2 T. flour
1 egg, beaten
4 chicken breasts
Directions:
1. Place French’s onions and flour into a ziplock bag. Crush with your fingers or rolling pin. I find that I like the onion bits to be smaller, which you can’t really accomplish with your hands. Once your crushing and mixing is complete, place on a plate.
2. Dip chicken into egg, then into onion mix pressing firmly to assure it sticks.
3. Place chicken on foil-lined baking sheet (for easy clean up) and bake at 400 for 20-25 minutes.
