I wanted to do a quick post today about a SUPER easy way to shred chicken…..or any other meat for that matter. I used to avoid recipes that called for shredded anything because I really can’t stand shredding meat. It is painful to me. Or I would have my husband do it. I found this tip, and it has made my life so much easier!
Step 1: Boil your chicken until it is cooked through. Easy enough.
Step 2: Drain the water off of the chicken, and pour the hot chicken in your mixer. I have a Kitchen Aid, and the cookie paddle attachment works wonderfully. I let my chicken cool down for a bit because it seems to shred a little more easily when it is not as warm and the water has had a chance to evaporate off a bit.
Step 3: Turn your mixer on, and go until it is all shredded. This will take MAYBE a minute.
You are DONE! See – totally painless way to shred your meat. Now you can make these yummy enchiladas for dinner…..or this tasty chicken salad for sandwiches….or these amazing buffalo nachos for an appetizer, and not even worry about the hassle of shredded chicken.
