Of all of the pies that I have ever had, I think Pecan Pie is my favorite. My husband’s family loves pies for Thanksgiving and their family pecan pie recipe is slightly different than my family recipe. I have combined elements from both to make this recipe a compliment to both families. Add this recipe to your Thanksgiving feast this year for a sure crowd-pleaser.
Crowd-Pleasing Pecan Pie:
2/3 c. sugar
1/2 t. salt
1/3 C melted butter
1 C. dark Karo syrup
1 1/2 C. pecan halves
1. Make a pie crust and place it in your pie pan. Do not bake it. Use Kate’s Perfect Pie Crust if you want an easy, hard to mess up crust.
2. Combine all of the ingredients together except the pecans. Once that is all mixed well, add the pecans and gently stir.
3. Pour into your uncooked 9″ pie shell. Bake at 375 for 50 minutes, or until set.
