This banana bread is a family favorite. Any time I make it and give a loaf to a neighbor or friend, I literally have them calling and asking for the recipe. It is a delicious, moist bread that is sure to please. As a warning, no matter how much I spray my pan, it will usually stick. Butter and flouring the pan might be necessary if you need a disaster-free edge.


Family Favorite Banana Bread


  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1 T. vanilla
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 t. baking powder
  • 1/2 t. baking soda
  • 1 T. cinnamon
  • 2 c. bananas (ground in blender)


  1. Beat together all ingredients in mixer. Place in 2 greased bread pans.
  2. As a variation, you can use any fruit or vegetable in 2 cup increments instead of bananas. So next time your zucchini's are growing out of control, remember this recipe!
